[IMAGE] June 25, 2001: Mars is the closest it has been to the earth since 1988. Even so, it is still a very challenging telescopic object to resolve.
Come back in the fall for images of Saturn and Jupiter, when they return to the night sky.
All images were taken by Joel Seligmann on the Questar 7. Digital images made with an Olympus 2020Z, using eyepiece projection.
